Mick was Best Man at our Kona wedding in 1982. He's been a pal since 1974. We shared an apartment, co-owned a Piper J3 Cub, crewed on sailing catamarans, got our USCG Skipper certifications together, co-owned a house and had great times over the past 50 years. He even moved in with my parents for a year in Sacramento, proving that questionable judgement runs in my family.
Mick shared a lot of his adventure stories with us over the years, but we know there are lots more we haven't heard. Wish we'd had more time, but now we want to put together an upbeat book of all his life's crazy adventures. Or at least the ones we can talk about.
No need for you to write anything down. If you have a great story about Mick, just call us and we'll record it. Once we have all the stories we can get our hands on, we'll put together a not-too-serious book of what the amazing life of Captain Mick was like. Any good episode is welcome. Close calls, adventures, brave moments, foolish choices, bad judgement, women, planes, adult beverages, foreign governments, shady characters. It's all good. Let's talk about Mick!
We will be at Mick's Memorial Service on Saturday May 16th in Indio.
Call Geoff at 206-375-0481, Florida time zone, and we'll collect your stories about Mick.
